Nationwide Planned Transport
Vehicle Transport Across the UK
For anyone moving a vehicle a long way and planning it in advance
Long distance moves are a different job to a local recovery. The vehicle is usually not urgent, the two addresses are often hundreds of miles apart, and the thing that matters to you is that it arrives on the agreed day, in the same condition it left in, with someone you can actually get hold of on the way. We run vehicle transport the length of England and into Wales and Scotland on that basis: booked ahead, priced before you commit, one driver responsible from load to unload.
Goods in transit cover · Fixed price before booking · Condition photographed at both ends
How a nationwide move actually runs
You give us two postcodes, the make and model, and whether it drives. We come back with a fixed price and the dates we can do. Nothing is dispatched until you have agreed both.
On the day, the driver rings ahead so somebody is there or the keys are where you said they would be. The vehicle is photographed on the ground before it goes anywhere near the ramp, then loaded, strapped over the wheels rather than the suspension, and the photographs are repeated at the other end.
Long runs are planned around the motorway network rather than the shortest line on a map. A Kent to Cumbria job goes up the M1 and M6 because that is the route with the fewest places to get stuck, and the timing is set around it.
What the booking covers
Collection and delivery booked to a date that suits you, not a vague window
One named driver from the collection address to the delivery address
Goods in transit cover on the vehicle for the whole journey
Photographic condition record taken at load and again at unload
Winch loading where the vehicle will not start, steer or brake
Updates by phone or WhatsApp while the vehicle is on the road
What we will not pretend about long distance work
A 300 mile move is most of a driver's day, so it costs more than a short hop and it needs a date rather than an hour. If somebody quotes you a national move at a local price, ask them whether your car is going straight there or sitting on a yard waiting for a full load.
We move vehicles direct. That is more expensive per mile than a shared load, and it is the reason we can commit to a delivery day.
